Indoor Grow Facility
Envelope insulation for a controlled-environment facility.
Indoor Grow Facility: The Project
An indoor grow facility in need of a complete coat of spray foam insulation; roof and walls.
This job required a 3 inch coating of closed cell foam on the building's roof, and a 2 inch coating of the same on the exterior walls.
How It Was Done
This level of roofing insulation will eliminate the dew point, creating a safer environment for crops. The wall insulation will combine with this to create an entire air vapor barrier.
The spray foam will also ensure that there is no presence of mold, and means that rodents and pests have no gateway into the growing shed. It has created the perfect growing environment, and saved the client 50% on his energy bills
For almost 40 years spray foam has been recognized as the best way to insulate agricultural buildings. These buildings are notorious for being difficult to keep at a steady temperature - a task that often requires countless other energy eating systems.
Spray foam forms one continuous protective barrier. This brings insulation up to standard in one application as well as eliminating drafts and condensation. Temperature is incredibly easy to maintain once spray foam insulated too.
